Bilal Al-Salaymeh was born in 1981 in Hebron Governorate and began his journey in the world of pottery at the age of thirteen. In 2007, he transitioned to ceramic art, working in the largest ceramics factories in Hebron, where he gained extensive experience that established him as one of the leading artisans in the field. His work was not limited to the local market; he also participated in training courses and delivered lectures on ceramic art abroad, further solidifying his reputation as a skilled craftsman with a distinctive artistic touch. Today, Bilal works alongside his partner, Abdul-Wadoud Al-Ja’abari, one of the most esteemed artisans in the field. Together, they continue to develop and revive ceramic art in a way that blends tradition with modernity.Location: Hebron

Maha Abu Dilou is an embroidery artisan from Ramallah who began her journey at the age of seven, learning the craft from her mother, who instilled in her a deep love for this traditional art. Initially, embroidery was a way for her to help her mother, but it soon became a lifelong passion. Over time, Maha realised that traditional Palestinian embroidery was at risk of disappearing. Determined to revive it, she chose to preserve its authentic form while also adapting it to modern social changes. This balance between tradition and innovation has made her work unique, offering a creative space for expressing Palestinian cultural identity in a way that merges heritage with contemporary design. With over 17 years of experience, his passion led him to seek alternatives to imported clay, developing methods to extract and process local clay, moving into ceramic art, where he uses local clay in pieces that bring together traditional craft and contemporary expression.
