Sand Staining

Our lighting fixtures collection is inspired by the tradition of sand staining, a historic practice in Palestine. Traditionally, glass was produced from a mixture of sand, soda ash, and limestone. The ash was commonly produced from different local flowers and ground seashells, which adorned each glass vessel. This collection abstracts the shape of some of the historic plants whose ash was used in glass making, celebrating their forms and colors.
