A Palace Amidst Orchards

In this collection, we delved into the ancient craft of soap-making in Palestine, particularly in Nablus, renowned as one of the oldest crafts in the region. We aim to celebrate and promote Nablusi soap by incorporating a unique stone holder designed specifically for it. The inspiration behind the design of the soap holder draws from a quote by Al-Makdisi, a prominent Arab scholar during the 13th century, who eloquently described Nablus as a palace nestled amidst orchards of olive trees (olive oil is the main component for soap production), evoking the rich heritage of soap production.
