Palestinian embroidery, known as "Tatreez," is a craft deeply embedded in Palestinian culture and heritage. Traditionally crafted by women and passed from generation to generation, it intricately features cross-stitch patterns, notably adorning the traditional dress known as the "thobe". Across Palestine, various embroidery techniques are practiced, such as Tahriri in Bethlehem and Jerusalem, although cross-stitch remains predominant.
